Description

A simple laptop stand I designed. I wanted to make something simple to print, with minimal supports, and that wouldn't take 5-8 hours to print. Granted this one took 4 hours on my machine but that is still a lot quicker than many designs. I think you could tweak some things and make it faster. I had top ironing on and printed at .28 layer height so if you printed at .4 and didn't iron, that should save a lot of time. I had a scrap board (.75 in T x 11.125 in W x 11.25 in D) that needed a purpose, so I designed the stand around that. However, any .75 in thick board should work and if you wanted it to be wider all you would need to do is lengthen the brace. But it may be sturdy enough without the brace. The brace snaps into the base/side pieces on the underside so there is no need for glue unless you want it to be extra secure. I used 4 wood screw to secure the board. It seems pretty sturdy and cleans up the desk space up bit. Enjoy! Layer Height: .28 Filament: PLA plus rapido Supports: Yes (they are only in the counter sunk holes and pop out clean with .22 top z distance) Strength: 2 walls and 20% Rectilinear Infill Hardware: x4 #2 wood screws (6x 3/4") Stand dimensions: 9 inches deep by 4 inches tall. Holds a 11.125 in wide .75 in thick board.
