Description
This is an extended magazine release for the Ruger 10/22 or Charger. Functionally, it just acts as the magazine release. Stylistically, it makes your Ruger look like a lever action. A 10/22 will look similar to a 96/22 and a charger could look like an Axe or Mare's Leg. Remove the cross-pin for your existing magazine release. Remove the magazine release trigger. Remove the spring-loaded plunger that pushes against the magazine. Test fit the pin in the hole of the lever-action magazine release. If it doesn't fit, drill out the hole with a 1/8" bit. Test fit the end of the new release into slot in the spring-loaded plunger. If it doesn't fit, lightly sand the surface until it does. After test-fitting the parts, insert the plunger, and push it in a bit. Insert the lever-action release so the end of it goes into the slot in the plunger and the pin hole lines up. Insert the pin. Your Ruger now looks like a lever-action! Swing out the lever to drop your magazine!
