Lilygo T-Deck TD1 Big battery rear cover 18650x5

Here we have a modified rear case for the alley cat TD1 case, this used the top part of the original back cover file to insure a perfect fit. This will fit up to 5 18650 batteries with a tiny bit of wiggle room, I ended up using some old 2800mah cells I had lying around, and during the first 24 hours only dropped from 4.2 to 4.1 volts 😵 It also fits the speaker perfectly at the bottom, I also recommend using some ~4mm foam to space the cells from the pcb of the T-deck (stops any rattles) You also may be wondering, “no way there is a genuine 18650 that is rated for 4000mAh”, I thought the same… https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/batteries/products/fogstar-energy-4000-18650-battery haven't bought any myself but the site is reputable in the uk.
