Lite Base for Gridfinity Storage Box by Pred *Now Parametric!*

Update (8/29/23): Now Parametric! I've also included lite STLs for common sizes from the original page. ------------------------------------- I loved the idea for the original Gridfinity storage box, but I felt it would be a waste of time and filament to print with a fully solid bottom for my uses, especially knowing how sturdy the gridfinity bins are on their own. So once the parametric files were released, I took it upon myself to remove a lot of material from the base. Doing so took the filament consumption down from ~260g to ~160g. I saw my print time go from nearly 13 hours to about 9.5 using the 0.3mm DRAFT preset for the MK3S+ in PrusaSlicer and 20% infill. The bottoms of the gridfinity bins are plenty thick on their own, and honestly, I like the look of the bottom of the box better now. It is nice to let the colors and shapes show through rather than just a completely flat bottom. I have included 2 versions. I do not care to use gridfinity with magnets, so I have uploaded versions with and without space for magnets, this is noted in the file names. The improved figures listed above are for the magnet-less version. You will still see significant savings with the magnets but not as much. Important Note: This is using the 5x4x6U Parametric V1 file, not the original, which uses a different hinge. ------------------------------------- special thanks to Pred for this awesome project, you did great work!
