Description
I have a bunch of 12V AC/DC adapters laying around, so I've been combining them with LM2596 buck converters. I've made the first piece in a hurry for a friend's project, so I have no clear pictures of the product yet. The space is quite small inside the case, so I recommend bending solid core wires between the jack's legs and the pads on the buck converter. Parts: 3D printed case: top, bottom, jack plate L712A (DC005) female jack, straight legs LM2596 buck converter board 2pcs M3x20 countersunk screw (shorter can also be used if you are not using a nut) 2pcs M3 nut 1-2pcs of M3 screw, 3-6mm thread length (for securing the board) 1 ziptie for the output wire(s) Features: The jack is mounted on a separate plate for easier printing and ability to remove it from the casing during and/or after soldering. If the printed plate is too loose, i recommend to print a second one a few percents larger for a snug fit Same ziptie mounting on the output side as the original Modified trimmer pot coutout, higher chance to fit random boards I haven't modified the securing holes and doesn't fit my exact board, however for me 1 screw holds the board perfectly The case's holes are chamfered for countersunk screws Slight chamfer on the top for the looks
