Description
This was designed to provide a quick-release method of clamping a merged object to an aluminium pole (Antennas and the like). The model submitted here is for demonstration and is intended to be modified to attach further functionality to the 'MountRing' piece - example use case provided. In my case, I melded this onto bracket to allow this locking clamp to be fitted to a concrete fencing post to hold the 10 foot 38mm diameter aluminium pole. The pole was to be used to fit a Bird Feeder atop and so needed to be dismounted easily to refill the seed reservoir. The locking mechanism uses a cam inside the lever, which is intended to press any load on the back inside edge of the locking lever and not the hinge pin. The little 'hook' on the cam is used to push the cam back out into a position where it can properly 'lock' if it is inadvertently pushed fully into lever. Supplied slicer images show that critical areas of the objects are provided with 'modifiers' to apply 100% infill to those areas. Also it shows suggested orientation for minimal support (on build plate only).
AI Analysis: This is a locking pole clamp designed to secure poles or rods in place. It features a spring-loaded mechanism that allows for adjustable tension and a locking pin to prevent slippage. The clamp's robust construction ensures it can handle heavy loads while maintaining a tight grip.
