Description
Always liked the remixes of this box for other tools so thought I would have a go at creating my own for the LTT Screwdriver. Everything prints without supports and the only slightly fiddly thing is putting the magnets in that version of the bit holder, I have attached some pictures to help. What I did was put a colour change into PrusaSlicer at layer 21 and put the magnets in when it stopped, does make it easier if you have a steel bed as it keeps the magnets in place before the printer seals them. I used 12 as I had loads of them left and they are pretty cheap but you might be able to get away with only using 8, mine came in a pack of 50 so better to use all 12 if you can. I have uploaded a magnet version and non magnet version of the Bottom and Bit holder so you can choose. Also I have added a template for inside the lid as I lined mine with some 1mm thick adhesive backed felt from Amazon, if you print the non magnet version some 1.5-2mm foam or felt would stop things rattling. I printed it all with a .6 nozzle at .2mm layer height, any help with anything or problems please ask and I am sure I can sort it. Thanks You will require 8 m3x20mm machine screws and 30 8x3/8x2mm magnets if you are printing that version, 60 for the 48 bit or 90 for the 72 bit version. Small update I have added a second style of latch. 2nd Update 21/1/2023 Added a version that holds all 72 bits, just fits on a standard 250mm print bed but is no wider than the 24 bit version. Also big update and a massive oversight on my part the original has been modified so it fits on a standard 230mm print bed. 3rd Update 26/1/2023 Added a 8x2mm magnet version of the bottom of the case and Bit holder. 4th Update 01/02/2023 Thought I would complete the set by adding a 48 bit version, comes in the standard 24 bit size case in 8x2mm, 8x3mm and no magnet versions. Final Update 23/03/2023 Final update for the case I have added some of the refinements I made in my slim case. Like adding the finger and thumb holes to make it easier getting the screwdriver out and adding a notch at the bottom to make space for the ribs at the bottom of the screwdriver so it sits in nice and snug.
