Magnetic base for Nano vise/chuck

I wanted to be able to use the vise on a soldering helping hand steel plate. This base accomodates two small 3/8" rare earth magnets. If the sockets aren't exactly deep enough, you can shim with a tape of some sort around the magnets. I used double-sided heatsink tape with one of the backings left in place. It prevents scratching the powder-coat on the steel plate.
