Description
To create silicone molds for casting manta face shields. Thanks to Stephan for the help getting it to fit on my print bed. Cast face shields take 30-40 minutes to cure and can greatly increase face shield production for those with the time to do frequent resin pours. Modification of the technique seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBqR6s6L86Y See how I do it in this video: https://youtu.be/vSHbeWSqIHU?t=777 I get my supplies from Reynold's Advanced Materials. Currently using Task 8 as my resin but after speaking with health professionals and finding out that face shields don't need to be autoclaved and are just being cleaned with alcohol I would recommend trying the 65D material suggested in the first video since the Task 8 is a bit brittle. I have also made an ear saver casting box, however, I need to test materials to cast with since Task 8 is much too brittle to cast ear savers with. Print instructions Print this any way you'd like.
