Description

This is Matt's fan rake with a duplicate of the forks added to the other end. Thanks Matt for the useful tool and its elegant design. The second fork has TPU wings to help clean the layer of particles stuck to the fan blade after the hairs are removed. This is a mixed material print, TPU and then PETG. It is also the first I have ever done. at .15 layer height, the first two layers should be a flex TPU. I went up in temperature as PETG was added. It bonded well. I did not test PLA. The Bed temp I kept at my TPU temp which I think is 55c The GCODE attached has… .15 layer height 2 layers of TPU at 230c layer 3 PETG at 230c layer 4 PETG at 240c layer 5+ PETG at 250c I also printed towards the front corner of the plate to aid in removal. A recent trick I found to release TPU is I spray some windex on the plate next to the piece and let it run to the edge. The Tpu will let go starting at that edge I did not try any other temp combinations. I just used a strategy of getting the PETG up to a temperature I normally print at as it distanced from the TPU layer. No bonding issues no my test print. I also printed this a textured sheet if that matters. Model with holes in the handle: I added this option, but I did not print it. A Caution if any… The fit is obviously tighter on the fan blade. You should take care to not stress the fan hub with bending and twisting.
