Description
The default bowden setup and extruder really limits how well you can print on Biqu Hurakan so I've decided to upgrade to a direct extruder, H2S Lite from Biqu . This mod was inspired by JJR3D mods but I've recreated and redesigned everything from scratch including fixing a few dimensional issues I've encountered. I've reused the heater block, heatbreak and nozzle from the printer to maintain compatibility with E3D M6 heatbreak and nozzles (and connectors! those tiny picoblades connectors are really annoying). You should be able to install the printhead with little to no additional parts aside from the printed and a few screws. in the picture(s), I also installed part cooling mod from modular ventilation system for the BIQU H2 from fellow Predy . I will most likely design my own part cooling as the MAD's part cooling are too chunky and heavy for my taste. Updates: Designed lightweight mounting system for MAD's fan ducts. Stay tuned for more improvements and update for this mod. Klipper Config Changes (add the config if it doesn't exist) [extruder] … rotation_distance: 3.433 [probe] … x_offset: -38.0 y_offset: 15.0 z_offset: #you need to figure z_offset out yourself due to the adjustable height [bed_mesh] … mesh_min: 5, 15 mesh_max: 197, 217 [stepper_y] … position_endstop: -18 position_min = -18 position_max: 218 [safe_z_home] … home_xy_position: 155.5, 100 Updates: [4/17/2023] Updated the configs to fully utilize the print bed (and proper offsets, z homing positions etc).
