Description
I set out to make an entry into the Building Blocks contest and ended up making a Mini 13 Monarch Butterfly instead, which is pretty much par for the course. If printing at 100%, I would suggest printing with a brim on the Antennae and Head as they have a small footprint. I print everything with a layer height of 0.12 mm and a speed no faster than 50 mm/s. In my experience, printing any faster than that can cause the fit between parts to be too tight, sometimes to the point where they won't fit. Wings.stl contains all four wing pieces necessary but I have also included the individual wing pieces, Wing part 1 and Wing part 2 . When completed, each wing will be 5 mm thick which will allow it to "stand up" as seen in the first model picture. On top of downloading my files, you will need to download some of the Mini 13 frame parts. Below is a list of the frame parts and the amount you will need as well as a direct download link for them. mini13-frame-head.stl x1 mini13-frame-chest.stl x1 mini13-frame-shoulder.stl x2 ASSEMBLY: Assembly of the wings is pretty straightforward. Place the orange, yellow and white plates into one side of the wing and then the other side of the wing fits on top as seen in the following pictures. Repeat the steps for the second wing. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
