Description
OVERVIEW This is a fully 3D-printable 1:45 car built as a display model or functional toy. It’s a beginner-friendly project. No cutting, no printing supports, no screws and hardware needed. You print the parts (~6h), assemble them in 10 minutes, and that's it, done! Designed to be a nice functional toy or cool decoration. FEATURES Built for Play! This little car is made to be played with. The print-in-place suspension works great, and the wheels rotate smoothly around the wheel mounts, despite no screws being used there. Beginner-Friendly! No cutting, no printing supports, no screws and hardware needed. You print the 54 parts, and you can assemble the car right away. Real working parts! Flip the hood. Drop the tailgate. Detach the expedition equipment. The car doesn’t just look good, it moves and feels real in your hands. Fast print, easy assembly! The MINI is 1:45 scale, and you can print it in 6 hours. Easy! You can easily print multiple minis, like we do when we go out to show off the project! Fully printable! Chassis, body, wheels, tires, suspension, chassis, all printable. The BIG next step is our web-based 3D configurator. Think of it like tuning a car in a video game, but for real, printable RC cars. You’ll be able to swap parts, change wheels, tune the chassis, and explore different setups live in 3D, directly in your browser. Everything is parametric, so one base car can evolve into many different builds. If you grab the Expedition Prototype now, it’ll be the first car compatible with the configurator when it launches. Rebuild it into a race pickup, a dump-bed utility truck, or even a food truck! BEFORE DOWNLOAD This is a digital product. You’ll receive STL files & PDF Manual, not a physical car. You’ll need access to a 3D printer and be comfortable printing multiple parts over time. The full build takes around 6 hours of print time, plus assembly. Assembly is beginner-friendly, but this is still a hands-on project. You’ll be printing, assembling, and tuning, it’s part of the fun. Please, respect the license. Print results may vary depending on printer, calibration, materials, and settings. We cannot guarantee successful prints across all machines or configurations, and we performed all printing on Prusa printers. If you have an issue with tolerances, please reach out to our team on Discord and report it. You are responsible for the assembly, printing, and operation of the vehicle. We assume no liability for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from the use of these files or the assembled toy. SUPPORT This project is actively maintained, and you’re not on your own if something isn’t clear. If you run into issues with printing, assembly, or setup, you can reach us through our community channels, where we answer questions and collect feedback for future improvements. The best place to get help, share builds, and see what others are doing is our Discord server. You’ll find other builders there, updates on new parts, and early previews of what we’re working on next. We don’t promise instant replies, but we do care about making the project better, and we actually read what you send us.
