Description

This is a remix of the great print by Jarek. When I installed a new LCD cover and brackets on my MK3S ( https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/27937 ), the side trays would no longer fit (the left side hit the SD card) and they stuck out farther than the LCD did. And while the attachment clips on the original make removing the tray easy, I didn't have much luck with them. And with my MK3S riding on isolator feet ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3496474 ), I now had extra space below the tray I could take advantage of. So I've used Jarek's design as inspiration to redesign the trays using a shorter overall length and 5mm extra depth. In addition, these now attach to the extrusions using M3 bolts and T-nuts. STL files: "v1" files - standard redesigned trays. "v2" files - added raised slots in the sides to allow use of removable dividers. Each tray requires two T-nuts and 2 M3-12 or M3-14 bolts (depending on the style of T-nuts you use) (2020-07-28) Other notes/options: If there's room between the bottom of the tray and the surface, you can try adding adhesive rubber feet to help support the tray To keep any tools or items in the tray from vibrating and causing extra noise, try felt or foam/rubber tray liners to the bottom of the tray (2022-03-10) Want a slide-in holder for Revo nozzles that work with the v2 side trays with divider slots? Look here: Revo Nozzle holder for side tray by BirdmanRS Print instructions My test prints during design were with PLA, but my final prints shown here are PETG to better withstand any extra heat should the printer be in an enclosure.
