Description
Tapping arms keep taps level and supported. I designed this model specifically for using small taps, as small as m1, that will almost certainly break if used by hand. Video: mag chuck video: My smallest test with this tool was a m1 tap, which requires a .85mm hole. For me thats the smallest thing ive ever tapped and I cant imagine myself going smaller any time soon. Parts list: tapping arm hardware: m4 threaded insert x8] m5 bolt, 16mm, x4 m6 coupling nut x4 m6 threaded rod, 180mm length m6 threaded rod, 185mm length m6 nut x2 m6 bolt, 110mm x2 lmu8 8mm linear bearing 8mm rod/ shaft, 10cm (adjust to your liking!) handle material, I drilled a hole in the shaft and used 4mm rod, no one right way to do this chuck of choice, I use a er16 colet chuck 2mm rod, 20mm lengths x3 concrete, aggregate removed braided fishing wire
