As a part of my Modular Structure / Fort / Castle project I had to make some doors for the interior and exterior walls. A nice byproduct of this work was that I had an opportunity to make some standalone door props as well. This also borrowed nicely from my modular oven / stove prop where I first used these hinges. So today I have some nice modular doors for you all... AND a mimic variant which is exclusively available for free (for now) over on my Patreon. So if you like door props and mimics hop on over to my Patreon here where you can get the mimic door prop (and the double wide exterior doors variant as well). π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media Free Mimic Door Exclusive Only On Patreon ** Print Instructions ** For FDM I've included the 3mf file that I used for printing on my Patreon as well. The parts are all intended to be printed as is on the print bed as I have built in supports for the door hinges. I recommend printing with 3 wall loops and 95% infill to make sure that these things are sturdy - they're small and thin enough that they use very little filament but you want to make sure that they won't break when you remove the hinge supports. For assembly - as I mentioned there are hinge supports. These can be popped out with some small wire cutters. The doors hinges will slide into the gap that has opened up and a piece of filament can be slid / twisted in to lock the door in place. The doors + mimic doors are pretty tight but at 100% infill they are very sturdy too - you could try 2 wall loops for a looser fit if you want but just keep in mind that that might make them more prone to snapping. For resin the fit on these are probably too tight so I'll have to make a new variant. If you want a resin version of these doors comment below and I'll get to work on it for you! That's all for now - thanks for following along. You can follow along with me on Patreon here to get sneak peaks at my upcoming projects, exclusive minis / models and more!
