Description
I've made a float and a funnel for the Modular system if your running a platform and have space. There is also a combined funnel and float if you prefer it to be all in one. FLOAT: For the float, you will need to print part 1, 2, 3. Part 1 and 2 needs to be put through the part 3 and then glued. Make sure to sit it on a table upright when gluing, same orientation of how it will be in the system. Make sure the glue is not coming out the side, use minimal glue. If glue gets on part 3 or is to far out, the float wont work correctly. The float is not colored as everyone's will be different . I would recommend printing the float in white and then do the following to mark it; Fill your reservoir to the lowest point you would want it, then mark on the float with a sharpie. Fill to the next spot where you normally want to do a top off, mark it. Then fill to full and mark it. Use calipers to measure from how it will sit on your print bed. Use slicer software to do colors at the layer heights based on your measurements. Recommended Print Settings for proper float operation: Float (Both Part 1 & 2) Infill Grid Infill 5% 3 Shells / Walls Orient part 1 & 2 on the larger flat part No Supports Needed Float Adapter (Part 3) Standard Slicer Settings Infill Grid or Any Infill 15% or Any 3 Shells / Walls No Supports Needed Funnel: The funnel can be used with or without the cap. I made the cap to cover it so light is not hitting the water. The cap may be a little more stout then it needs to be but I didn't want it being flimsy.
