Description

This is a modular Lasgun assembly kit I made based off of a M36 Kantrael lasgun. Lasguns come in a lot of sizes and variations so I made this kit modular where each part can be printed multiple times to make different patterns and layouts. All parts in this kit can be combined on a simple 20x20mm aluminium extrusion rail to make many different kinds of las. It also has ports for a barrel made of 30mm PVC pipe (fixtures to mount the pipe to the rail are included). Usually you'll only need one handle and stock, but printing multiple SHROUD pieces lets you fill up the rail and make quite a few different layouts of lasgun. I used to make a vindicare assassin assassin outfit a few years ago, which you can see in the pictures. How do I assemble a Lasgun with this kit? Print out a handle, stock, end cap, and a couple of shroud_vertical_left and right parts. Slide the parts onto a length of 2020 aluminium rail and secure with some m5 screws. Paint and sand to your preference. Wa la, you have a very basic Lasgun. Here are a few example weapons that can be made with the kit: ####Normal Lasgun: This is the regular lasgun, like the one in the picture. A 60cm 2020 rail 30-40cm of 300mm PVC pipe Stock Grip Shroud top with Ironsight Shroud top Magazine well Shroud left x4 Shroud right x4 Shroud Ring with Ironsight End cap LasPistol: Short las pistol A 20cm 2020 rail 10-15cm of 300mm PVC pipe Grip Shroud Ring with Ironsight Shroud top x2 Magazine well End cap Longlas: A long, sniping variant A 30cm 2020 rail 40-50cm of 300mm PVC pipe Grip Shroud Ring with dovetail Dovetail compatible hunting sight Magazine well Shroud left x3 Shroud right x3 End cap Theres a lot more variations than just whats written above but this isn't a warhammer wiki post so I'm going to move on. Printing I used pretty rough settings. 0.16 layer with high speed and PLA+. I needed it printed fast so theres a lot of optimisation in the model to compensate: All parts are slightly bevelled under the print face Nearly no parts need any supports if printed the right way up (no overhangs) I printed in a gun mental silver, sanded, then painted, then sanded again to give it a chipped rough vibe.
