Description

Summary This is a modification to the Modular Snap together Raspberry Pi 2B/3B/3B+/4 Case by user @Sneaks . This model only works with the deep rail modules of this model. It is meant to interface with 2020 and 4040 mounts serving as a rail mount for the case. I use it on my Ender 3 in the bottom right corner made by the two 4040 extrusions that form the H frame. Modification: Rail Module → 2020 and 4040 standardized perpendicular mounts Modifications I have included the full CAD model done in Solidworks. The assembly includes genuine parts from the Creality Github repo. The design is parametrically constrained using the equations section. Feel free to change values but be aware that it is not fully part-constrained, so there may be some interference issues after adjustment of values in the equations section. If you do not have Solidworks, I recommend Onshape. It is a free alternative that has a modern version control system skin to Github. Print Settings Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm nozzle (0.45 layer width used) 0.2 mm layer height Infill: 40% gyroid (any isotropic pattern works) Filament Material: ABS, ABS+, ABS-GF, ABS-CF, PETG-GF, PETG-CF (ABS used) Walls: 4 Top and Bottom Layers 5 each This is a functional print, therefore high-strength settings have been used (4 walls, 5 top and bottom layers, and 40%≥ infill with isotropic shape). Heat and creep-resistant material is recommended for this print due to the high temperatures generated in the vicinity of the printer. ABS, PETG, and other materials with higher softening temperatures and low thermal cycling creep can also be used. This is a dimensionally sensitive print, please ensure your printer is dialed in for your filament being used. ABS print speed was 200 mm/s with 250 mm/s travel. Do not enable cooling. Adjust your print settings to your discretion. Post Printing: Required Assembly Materials: 2x M3 T-nuts to secure mount to 2020 or 4040 extrusion bracket.
AI Analysis: This is a mechanical part designed for mounting a Raspberry Pi case, featuring a robust extrusion design with a snap-together mechanism. The component is constructed from durable materials and includes a mounting bracket with a screw hole for secure attachment. It is specifically engineered to fit into the 4040 extrusion system used in the Raspberry Pi case, providing a stable and precise mounting solution.
