Description

This is the 24mm version of the moon rocket I modified from AslansMonkey. I printed it and things are looking pretty good so far. I used PETG but I have printed the earlier version on PLA+. The big changes here compared to the first version is: Hallowed out quite a bit of the body as the original was very heavy and had lots of infill. Same for the nose cone. Added a baffle so no need for parachute wadding. and also added a motor stop into the body. Added a parachute mounting point on both the body and the nose cone. Changed the motor retainer to use a more standard threaded retainer. I've added the motor retainer I use on this. I have two versions. One is for a standard size D engine. But sometimes I want to fly with a size D, usually for testing. So I made an adaptor to use a size C in a D slot. This adds 2mm in length so I had to adapt the motor retainer as well. I've included that file here in case you want it. You can find my adaptor here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7288355 You will need supports to print this. That should do it. I'll be flying it soon. If anything drastic happens I'll report back here. Otherwise I don't think I"ll be making changes.
AI Analysis: This is a small-scale model rocket designed for hobbyist model rocketry. It features a cylindrical body with fins for stability and a pointed nose cone, intended for launching into the air as part of a model rocket kit. The rocket includes a motor compartment for holding a small rocket motor.
