Description

I looked at other motor drive modifications and felt driving from the original crank shaft would be less stressful to the original design. I have included 25 and 35 teeth motor gears. Either works OK, the 35 tooth gear just adds speed. The geared 550rpm motor handle the load OK. The Large 160mm gear is supplied in 4, 5, and 6 spoke variants. All are strong enough - pick the one you like the best. Print a 3mm spacer from the original design, and install between the bearing and the 160mm gear. This helps keep the bearing in place. The 45mm axel has a through hole for a screw or metal shaft and is supplied if needed. I have not needed to replace the original yet. I have added a sled base to the motor housing to allow gear aligning easier. Lock the housing in place with one or two M3 screws. The housing will need to be modified for the speed controller you have. I used one I already had.
