Description
I absolutely LOVE the box design from @Jamie and really wanted a version with a few more large compartments. So I made it in TinkerCAD real quick. I've also included the 3 pieces in separate files, as well as a file with all 3 items in one. For me, this size is perfect for some screws in the large compartment and the bits that are needed in the smaller. I've also put 2 clips on to help any potential warpage during printing, and to hold it closed a little better. Original description from @Jamie : (Thanks again Jamie!!!) The translucent bins with little removable dividers are HORRIBLE when it comes to keeping parts separated. When closed, parts can jump between bins, which drives me CRAZY. This design intends to fix that. At the top of each wall is an extension which fits into a groove in the lid. Even if the lid is not perfectly flat or if it flexes due to external stresses, I can 100% trust that the parts will not leak from one bin into the neighboring bin. This also allows me to arrange these bins on edge like books on a bookshelf, and I can 100% trust that the parts will remain in the correct bins. (It is not a water-tight seal that would keep liquids or sand, but grains of rice or cupcake sprinkles for example would remain 100% separated.) Use a piece of 1.75 mm filament as a pin for each of the hinges.
