Description
The hole for the disc magnet removes 5mm of threading/mating surface from the inner hole of the multiboard connectors. the snap fit with a panel is unaffected but the interference from the magnet will prevent many accessories from attaching to the inner hole. I use these to attach several multiboard panels to the side of my computer case. Could the magnets affect a mechanical hard drive inside? Possibly. Could the magnets in the cable cover connectors effect the signal in the cables? Also possibly. If you use these connectors with magnets to attach a multiboard panel to the side of an active MRI machine will it affect the results of the scan? I don't know ask your doctor. Don't put magnets on or near things that would be bad to have magnets on or near, use you discretion, don't be stupid. Or if you have to be stupid use PPE.
