Description

An add-on for Femling's genius Stagecoach double-barrel Nerf blaster, allowing use of 1 1/4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe as longer barrels. Minimum pipe length is about 15", barely longer than stock Stagecoach; maximum useable is about 24", as any longer would be like a punt gun and require a second person to hold up. I did not find that the longer barrels impeded the darts in any way. I'm not sure this is so useful for actual gameplay, perhaps better for that steampunk look or for a remake of Adam Ant's "Stand And Deliver". Obviously for public use you'd do an appropriate blazer color scheme; mine only gets used on my country acreage where its appearance is acceptable. IMO the flared muzzle is really what makes the (admittedly over-the-top) style, but if you wanted slightly more muted styling and/or to actually use the sights, there's an alternate, straight muzzle included so you can still red-tip as need be. See rendered images. "New top tubes front" and "New top tubes middle" replace the existing Stagecoach parts; they are sized to accept 1 1/4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe from the plumbing department of your local hardware store. "Top tubes flaredown" screws to top tubes front using two #4x3/8 screws as used through the Stagecoach, and assembly is otherwise as stock. The two muzzles are the options as described above and either friction fit or glue on at the very end. Regarding the PVC, I found painting it to be trickier than other plastics. I ended up gently sanding it with 240 or 320 grit, primering it, and then painting. That's even with the Krylon "paint with primer" I've been able to paint directly onto other plastic in the past. I think the PVC plumbing pipe has a coating to protect it from the elements and marauding craftspeople trying to paint it.
