Description
I got into doing my own nails after years of nail biting and skin picking, it has been therapeutic. At first I stored my gel polishes and brushes in the cardboard box my initial gel kit came in, then I found a nail polish bag with a foam grid and space for a led lamp. It was still a mess with the little bottles not fitting well and gel tubs and gel tubes were just swimming between compartments. Here is the amazon link to the specific Nail polish bag I have. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0FPWQR21G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I knew there was a lot of wasted space and I wanted to customize it to hold what I actually had and add rigidity to the structure. This is where nail polish grid V1 comes in. This is a breakdown of the custom compartments in Version 1 of the grid: 1 Large 8cm by 8cm - to fit builder gel tub 1 Medium 6.4cm by 8cm - to fit solid nail glue gel 6 Small rectangle 2.8cm by 3.8cm - to fit large or unusually square gel bottles 35 Small square 3cm by 3cm - to fit small beetle colour bottles and regular oval nail polish bottles 1 medium rectangle 4.8cm by 4cm - to hold circular liner gel tubs 2 2.2cm by 4cm - to hold dehydrator and primer 1 Long 4.7cm by 150ccm - to hold all polygel, 3d gel and stamping gel tubes I hope this helps someone, I'm still working on this. After printing V1 and it almost taking a whole roll of filament I can already see where I can make changes and improvements. I'm also thinking of making an insert like this for the top compartment to better hold my lamp and dust extractor. I'm no longer planning to glue in foam to the edges of the cubes to cushion the bottles, it might still be useful to someone who travels with their kit but not me. Good luck everyone.
