Description

Print the largest hex fabric/chainmail size that your print bed can fit. Based on this original model , I wanted a parametric scalable version so here you go. Just modify the bed_x and bed_y values to fit your printer. A few important notes: 1) You need to download both files, the OpenSCAD and the modified, single hex fabric link. 2) Due to the complexity of the original model, it will take several minutes to render the scaled model in OpenSCAD (it takes me 4 - 6 minutes on my machine). 3 ) You MUST install and use a recent developer snapshot version of OpenSCAD so that you can take advantage of a newer, fast-csg rendering feature (Edit → Preferences → Features →fast-csg) . If you don't, rendering will never finish and crash your machine (ask me how I know ;). Enjoy and please post photos of things you're able to cover with your large prints!
