Description
Update (12/5/2023) : adjust ABL sensor location to prevent z offset leveling from ramping into the build plate. I do not know why Elegoo let the hotend dip down then go back to your z offset. Strengthen one of the mounting hole. Update (11/15/2023) : Fixed ABL sensor location to match OEM. Trimmed mounting holes to use OEM screws. Support is needed now due to the sensor location. Update (11/12/2023) : I moved the sensor up a little because it sat too close to the nozzle lowest point. You can create mirror to get the other side. First, many thanks to @ MediaMan3D for the HeroMeGen7. I was inspired by another discord member who started this conversion project. @PsychItsMike Thank you for kick starting this project. @Menieth and @HoRunner for doing testing and measurements. I personally have the Max and it works great for me. Another person on Elegoo's discord tested on his Pro model and it work. Feel free to make any improvement from this. I am excited to see where this go. If you have skill in CAD. I believe this can use a cleanup. You can use M3 screws. I also included another model of the 40mm fan housing to use with m3 heat insert. **Please be aware that the extruder cooling fan plug polarity is REVERSE. The marking is on the board ** The benefits with this model is extra cooling and lower the noise level from the oem fans. With both 5015 fans at 35%, overhang and bridges is no issue at all. You can see the successful test in the pictures. Test model was printed with Sunlu black PETG @230/80 @60mm/s @35% fan speed. Here is what I use for this full conversion: 40mm fan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S9Q3FHW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 5015 fans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1V6JTB8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details JST 1.5mm 2-pin connector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NCBZH4F?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 3m screws https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B51BFSWZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XGNJBGS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Enjoys!
