Description
So, I quite liked Lukaku's original design, but I decided to try to improve on it a bit. Changes remodeled mostly by the original dimensions overall design a bit sleeker (imo) with filleted edges and a more integrated upper part cutout in the baseplate to lower filament usage quite a bit (around 70% of the original) indents on the bottom part for rubber feet, see below Printing and Assembly Printing is done with no real special settings. Supports for the small cutouts were not needed. Assembly as usual, you will need the original fan part from Lukaku, threaded inserts and some M3 screws (10 mm worked fine for me, 8 mm should be OK). The rubber feet are optional but I like to keep the fan more stable on my desk. Additional Materials for my remix I used 4x 3M Bumpon SJ5008 rubber feet, see here: https://www.reichelt.de/gummifuesse-12-7-x-12-7-x-3-1-mm-schwarz-80-stueck-3m-sj5008-black-p225109.html Updates 2025-03-17: added variant for 200 mm fans (untested) 2025-04-10: added variant for 120 mm fans
AI Analysis: This is a mechanical part designed as a base for a Noctua Airflow Amplifier Fan. It is a sturdy, black plastic structure that supports the fan and provides stability. The base features a triangular mounting platform with a fan-shaped opening for the fan blades, and it is intended to be placed on a desk to provide ventilation. Notable features include the precise engineering of the base to ensure the fan remains securely positioned and the inclusion of mounting hardware for easy installation.
