Description
The original model made use of a latching mechanism that didn't give me enough confidence to put high value cards into the box. It was well designed and has tight tolerances… too tight for my printers. The drawer and case fit tight enough for friction to hold the drawer in place. You can replace all of the front door parts with the Face Plate with Joining Plate. This part combined the face plate, latching mechanism, and joining plate into one solid piece. This is one single piece will slide on just like the original joining plate and you can glue in place. It features a relief for a 4mm nut and a hole for the Locating Pin to get the Pokéball perfectly square and level. If you feel like you could use an accent color, you can print the Joining Plate (two piece) and Face Plate (two piece) in different colors. This will add a nice accent as you open the drawer. The joining plate attaches just like the other models and it features a relief for a 4mm nut. The face plate is a combination of the original latching mechanism and face plate. The face plate has the same 4mm nut and Locating Pin relief. Once the two pieces are printed attach the Joining Plate (two piece) and press fir on the Face Plate (two piece). My photos attached are of this option. Lastly, I raised the Pokéball Ring for a better grip. Changes include more support on the bottom, larger center hole for a M4x16 screw, and 2mm in additional height. I think team rocket needs some love so I added a Team Rocket Ball Top and Team Rocket Ball Insert. These should press fit very tightly. Once assembled you can insert the locating pin into the Pokéball Ring or the face plate, then attach the Pokéball to the face plate with the M4 screw. Don't forget the Pokéball button once its all tight and level. Additional parts needed: M4x16 Socket Cap Screw M4 nut
