Description

These braces are designed to reinforce the arms of the Nreal/Xreal Air glasses at the hinge where they often crack. My left arm developed a crack in the plastic and was dangerously close to falling off entirely, and these were able to stabilise the arm so I could keep using the glasses. They allow the arms to be opened and closed as usual and don't make any contact with your face. ###Printing Printed in PETG as basically all walls for strength. Oriented them standing up "on end". It would arguably be stronger to print them horizontally but I didn't want to mess with supports and post-processing. They seem plenty strong enough for the application as-is. ###Installation To install them, "close" the arms one at a time and slide each brace onto the exposed end of the arm. They snap into place and haven't needed glue to keep them in place in my brief testing so far. ###Misc The right brace is significantly shorter to account for the controls on that arm. A longer model could be designed with access holes but the short brace seems sufficient for now. It does cover one of the microphone holes but in my testing it didn't seem to significantly affect the sound quality.
