Description
Here is my newly redesigned split model of the Obi-Wan saber from the first 2 Star Wars prequels. This was created using calipers on a metal replica to achieve more accurate dimensions. Only parts that require supports are the Lower Grip and the Small Button. The Pommel End might need supports but if you have good bridging it can do without. Print 2 Connectors. I suggest printing all parts at at least 20% infill to get a decent weight to it. Printed everything at .15mm layer height. Filaments were all PLA: Ziro silk silver, Overture matte black, CC3D silk red and silk antique gold. To get the circular pattern on the emitter and the red button, set the top or bottom infill pattern to archimedean chords. Compatible with my Covertec belt clip here: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/155731-covertec-belt-clip Update September 29 2022 - Added a split version of the lower grip that doesn't need supports, if anyone was having trouble with support removal. Takes some more gluing but hope it helps. Update June 13 2022 - Added a new Emitter Lower and Upper Grip (both v2) that has the 3 prongs connected for sturdiness, especially helpful when using brittle silk filaments. Use some support for the bottom peg hole on the Upper Grip. ***** If you like my designs, please consider supporting me ***** PayPal: https://paypal.me/jonesmikea Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/unimatrixred Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/jonesmikea
