ObserverTool - Smart Roundnet Timer (ESP32) Meet the ObserverTool – a smart, pocket-sized timing and utility device designed specifically for Roundnet observers, built around the ESP32-C3 platform. It features haptic feedback, pre-configured game timers (Serve, Timeout, Break, Medicals), a coin toss generator, and even a hidden Easter Egg game! For the source code, firmware, and full wiring documentation, please visit the GitHub Repository: 👉 GitHub - ObserverTool by moritzknbl ✨ Enclosure Design Features This case was designed with repairability and ease of assembly in mind: 100% Glue-Free: The entire enclosure is assembled without a single drop of glue. Smart Mounting System: The OLED display, ESP32 board, and battery are securely held in place using custom 3D-printed pressure plates. This makes future repairs or battery replacements incredibly easy. Screw Assembly: Everything is tightly secured using standard 1.7 x 5 mm screws . 🖨️ Recommended Print Settings Material: PLA or PETG Infill: 15-20% is perfectly sufficient. Layer Height: 0.2mm (or 0.16mm for a smoother finish on the front face). 🛠️ Hardware & Electronics Requirements To complete the build, you will need the following components that fit exactly into the cutouts of this case: Fasteners: A set of 1.7 x 5 mm screws. Electronics: Microcontroller: ESP32-C3 Super Mini Display: 0.96" OLED I2C (128x64, SSD1306) Inputs: 2x Push Buttons (requires 12x11mm opening size) Power Switch: Simple ON/OFF slide/toggle switch (requires 19x13mm opening size) Vibration: QYF-740 Vibration Motor Module (Built-in driver) Battery: Small 502030 3.7V LiPo Battery Charge Controller: Mini Type-C LiPo Charge/Discharge Module (Specs: 18x12mm, 5V to 4.2V) 💻 Code & Flashing This is a smart device! You can easily flash the code via the Arduino IDE, or use the precompiled .bin files via the built-in OTA (Over-The-Air) Wi-Fi update feature.
