Owl-Reach (Crutch‑mounted grabber clip)

A crutch-mounted grabber clip designed to solve a real challenge for crutch users: picking up objects off the ground without putting your crutches down or holding a grabber in your hand while traveling. Why the name? Owl-Reach is shaped like an owl. The name is a play on words: I will reach. Because now you can. Picking things up is harder when you use crutches. You either have to put your crutches down, balance awkwardly, or carry a grabber tool in your hand while you move. That limits your mobility and independence. Owl-Reach changes that. Attach the Owl-Reach to your crutch. Clip in your grabber using the Owl Clip. Bring it with you. When you need it, it's already there. When you're traveling, your hands are free. The design is flexible yet rigid. The Owl Clip is made from TPU95A to flex and hold various sized grabbers. The Branch Base attaches to your crutch and works on wooden rectangle crutches and metal cylinders of different sizes. For smaller diameter crutches, the wing-shaped design lets you wrap an elastic band underneath to tighten the fit (optional). I designed this to fit on various crutch sizes and grabber sizes.
