Description

I am Gen-X through and through. I loved playing Pac-Man when I was younger and still play it today when I see that arcade cabinet, something about it just draws me in. The simple 8-bit graphics! The "wakka wakka wakka" sound! Trying to run from "Blinky", "Pinky", "Inky" and "Clyde"! It all just makes me smile! I guess it's all about the simple things in life where I don't have to do adulting! I also used to love to draw pixel pop art, so I thought, why not combine the two together and see what I could come up with. Dimensions: 195 mm long, 10 mm wide, ~ 70 mm tall Font Used: https://www.dafont.com/pacfont.font Software used: Inkscape, Tinkercad, OrcaSlicer Printer: Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro Filament Used: Flashforge PLA Pro - BLACK (sign, ghost pegs, pacman peg, and ghost center eyes) Elegoo PLA Pro - BLUE (sign inlay) Elegoo PLA - YELLOW (pacman and letters) Elegoo PLA - SKY BLUE (inky) Elegoo PLA - PINK (pinky) Elegoo PLA - TRUE RED (blinky) Flashforge Basic PLA - ORANGE (clyde) Project: Printed upside down on a textured print plate as shown in photos for a different look, but could be printed right side up if chosen to do so. I have included two files for the "pacman sign", one with magnets and one with no magnets. NOTE: If printing the magnet sign, please find the attached .3mf files for orca slicer as I have added the pause (1 for right side up and 1 for upside down) where it is needed to allow for inserting magnets right before they will be covered. Magnet holes are sized for 10x3mm, and allowance has been given at 10.2mm x 10.2mm x 3.2mm. I used this brand of magnet - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVY5VYQY?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 but any brand with the same sizing should work without issue. I did have to use four magnets as two didn't seem to hold in place as well as expected. The pegs and ghost eyes have a tight tolerance, unfortunately I had to do it this way because any smaller, testing proved too loose and any larger, testing proved too big. Consider using some pliers (with a light touch) for insertion and possibly a small mallet for the ghost eyes. If you download files and like what you see, please give me a like. If you print this project and/or remix it, please show off your creation, I would love to see it. DISCLAIMER: "This is a fan-made creation. Pac-Man is a trademark of Bandai Namco Entertainment. I am not affiliated with or endorsed by Bandai Namco. This 3D print is a personal project." I'm just a fan attempting to design and print something to share and enjoy!!!
