Description

Upgrade to my previous 114/900mm travel scope, this version can be assembled without any tools once completed with simple 3D printed thumbscrews. It also has a 2" helical Crayford focuser. I printed mine from PETG at 100% infill for maximum rigidity. All other parts are needed only once, but you need 3x of plate1.stl and plate2.stl to complete the build. Required tools are: • Spanners for M6 and M8 • Soldering iron to heat the threaded inserts • Hacksaw to cut the tubes Note that in photos I have a 3D printed part in the tubes, this is not needed if you manage to cut the tubes to the correct length the first time.. :D Should you need it too, I have uploaded it to the files as: Adapter for bad decisions.stl BOM: • 150mm primary and secondary mirror of your choice • Ø20mm aluminum tube, cut to desired length • Assortment of M6 nuts, bolts and washers. • Generic springs for the primary mirror • 3x M8 bolts (30mm in lenght) and nuts • 6x 608-2RS bearings (d 8 mm, D 22 mm, B 7 mm) • M6 thread inserts
