Description
Pop-up catapult is printed in place. It requires a rubber band for the energy storage. It has .2mm tolerances. You can use Windrose Print in Place Tolerance Test model to test and adjust the tolerance using your slicers XY compensation setting. Ammo / Projectiles It is upgraded to use a variety of projectiles. The bucket is still the same, but with a big flare around it to hold bigger balls up to ~45mm. Original 20mm ammo (ball.stl) You can use a brim to hold it down to the base, or cut a plane a couple mm off the ball to make it flat on one side for better bed adhesion Print with light infill for better launch distance Ping pong balls Bouncy balls Any other balls ranging from ~20mm to ~45mm Operation Wrap the rubber band around the arm Pull back the arm and lock it in place by lifting up the trigger mechanism Insert ammo / projectiles Release trigger Print In Place - Pop-up Target https://www.printables.com/model/1493992-print-in-place-pop-up-target-bullseye-for-catapult 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media My Print Settings: Material: PLA First layer height: 0.35mm Layer height: 0.2mm Wall thickness: 0.4mm Wall loops: 2 Wall order: Outer/Inner Wall generator: Classic Bottom surface pattern: Rectilinear Top surface pattern: Rectilinear Infill density: 15-25% Infill pattern: adaptive cubic Nozzle size: 0.4mm Supports: Nope Speed: You decide based on your printer!
