Protective Vise Jaw Inserts

When working with delicate parts, I often needed to clamp something in a vise without leaving marks or scratches on the surface. So I designed and 3D-printed my own protective vise jaw inserts / soft jaws . They are simple, practical, and help protect metal, plastic, wood, and other materials from damage caused by hard steel jaws. I made four versions in total : knurled with magnet knurled without magnet smooth with magnet smooth without magnet The magnet versions have a dedicated spot for a magnet, so the inserts can stay attached to the vise jaws more easily. I also kept different vise widths in mind, so you can choose the size that fits your vise best.
