Description
I only printed a skeletonized version of this to verify dimensions and fitment. Dimensions are correct but I didn't do anything to optimize the model further. The plate is 5 mm thick the rack ear is 3.5mm thick. Overall footprint is 87.88 x 170.2 mm. Holes are made to fit M4 screws that the CX2177a uses for rack mounting. This was for a 4U Gator Case that has an 18" gap between front and back of the rack posts. To use this model you will need a rack that has removable sides to screw it to the case. I think it should be strong enough to print in PETG as is since the front ears hold most of the weight. I don't particularly plan on revisiting this design since I went a different route. You will need some M4 8 mm long screws to mount this. 8 is a little short as it will only give 3 mm of thread engagement out of the 4 mm recommended but they don't make a 9 mm long screw. Might want a brim since there isn't a lot of contact area. I would recommend printing on edge for best results.
