Description
I rotated the extruder by 15-45 degrees to pass the Z-axis self-test. Existing models will cause the extruder to collide with the top z-axis top plate and limit the z-height (as well as failing the self-test). This mount has holes to fit the most popular light-weight Prusa Mini direct extruders: Sherpa Mini (125g) Sherpa Micro (115g) Orbiter 2.0 (145g) TBGS (133g) The holes should work with M3 screws directly into the plastic. Please choose the correct M3 screw length and do not over-tighten, especially with ABS/ASA. One hole requires a square nut because it is in a very tight and awkward space (to avoid issues with the right X-axis endstop). Print with at least 4 perimeter walls to protect the holes. Make sure the flow and pressure are OK, otherwise you will have some issues with the “fin” part.
