Description

The Prusa MK4 natively uses Prusa Connect as a web-based user interface rather than connecting to a Raspberry Pi and OctoPrint. Octoprint provided camera interface via a Pi camera or USB Camera on MK2x and MK3 Printers. Camera interface is not natively supported on the MK4. The UI does however allow a Wi-Fi based camera snapshot to be included. This camera could be Phone, RPi, or ESP32 based. This model uses the ESP32 version since the hardware can be purchased for under $10. See https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/camera-setup-for-prusalink-prusa-connect_470943 and https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-ESP32-Cam for instructions on how to set up the camera and alternatives to the ESP32 Cam. This MK4 printer is located in an enclosure built on 2020 extrusions. The camera mount is attached to the front right vertical extrusion using M3 Screws and M3 hammer nuts. This allows the camera mount to be adjusted vertically along the extrusion. Not shown is a suitable 5Vdc power supply and USB-C cable. This can be any smart phone charger capable of supplying 3A @ 5Vdc.
