Description
The cardboard roll of the Prusament spool can not be reused once separated from the plastic parts, or if the spool is put in an oven to dry the filament. So in order to use the new refillable Prusament spool, or a spool that has been put in an oven, a new central roll has been done in plastic. The initial idea come from @zoltanf but the roll has been completely redesigned from scratch in CAD increasing the tolerances. To assemble the roll kit you will need: 2 x M4 70 mm screws 2 x M4 nuts 1 printed central roll Mount the two lateral parts over the roll having care to align the two Prusement cut one over the other as indicated by the yellow arrow in the photo. Insert the screws in the holes indicated by the two yellow arrow (they are easy to identify since there are only two rhombs near the holes). Insert the two nuts in the corresponding positions on the other side (they will correspond due to the cut alignments) and tighten the screws. The spool stay assembled also without the screws, but it can easy unplug, so it is recommended to use the two screws. This solution maintain the flatness of the spool to its original size, and this is crucial for people that needs to fit the rolls inside cereal containers or other anti humidity containers.
