Description

I have found the PTFE Holders in the original model are generally loose and can come up if enough force is exerted by the spool rewinder. These provide a way to hold the PTFE Holders against the top of the enclosure so it is more stable and more difficult for the spool rewinder to pull the C fitting off the rods. Hardware required (2) 6mm x 20mm x 2mm (6x20x2) magnets - N53 grade (the ones that Prusa uses in their MK4S printers) Compatible with 5x20x2 magnets as well, however the magnet slot width is designed for 6mm so there will be a little bit of extra side to side room. Assembly Insert the magnets into the opening (The chamfers help easier insertion) It is suggested to hold your finger over one slot while inserting the other to avoid the magnet from popping out since they are in relatively close proximity of each other Once the magnets are inserted put the cover on. It is designed to be friction snap on. The cover is optional and simply provides covering so the magnet slots are not exposed Put the assembled part over the arm of the PTFE Holders (see pictures) Once the assembled part makes contact with the top of the metal enclosure the magnets will automatically lay completely flat since the magnetism is very strong. Disassembly Remove the cover Remove the magnets by taking a piece of metal and attracting the magnets. They will pop out of the slot very easily but be careful attracting each other since the magnets can be brittle. Printing PETG .20mm Structure Profile 20% Infill Suggested to enable fan at 100% for printing the base No Supports Directionality Base - Print facing up so the pointier sides are facing upwards (The STL file should default to this orientation) Cover - Print with the closed side on the print bed Originally printed on a MK4S + MMU3 The file name having “Version 2" naming implies there was a “Version 1”, however I never published it because it was a sub-optimal part requiring to be printed on a complete 45% angle.
