Description
This is a quick edit of the awesome magnetic PTFE connectors by @LineArcLine. I wanted a base that I could superglue to my dryboxes or dryers, so I could snap a tube right to the side of the box (rather than having an ugly/unneccessary “tail” tube hanging out of the box. I used this first on my Eibos Easdry , but it works great anywhere there's an opening for a standard 4mm PTFE tube. To install: Insert magnets as usual. I used some superglue on each just to be sure they won't work their way out. Ensure that the polarity of the magnet is flipped between innies and outies. Cut a length of PTFE tube that will go into the dryer, push it into this base. I made the hole with zero tolerance so it will be tight! (but then it will hold it tight too) Put 4 small dabs of superglue onto the back of the base Push the PTFE tube into the side of the dryer, firmly seat the base, hold it while the glue sets Enjoy your clean look and lack of dangling tubes!
