Description
Pulse XE Y-Axis Minimal Linear Rail Upgrade This was “back to the drawing board” after my first attempt held the linear rails too rigidly to allow for perfect parallel rail adjustment. Following others who have created this mod so closely caused problems that just could not be rectified without model recreation. All of the mounts have been cut down and reduced in size. The channels have been all opened by 0.5mm to allow for wiggle room, adjusting the rails to roll smoothly. I have added the ability to add a 60mm stepper for the y-axis in order to move a heavier bed for increased speeds. Use the smaller rear rail mount for this. The MatterHackers Pulse XE is a MK3S+ clone, however not an exact copy, some parts or combination of parts are of different size and manufacture. I highly recommend upgrading the mainboard on the Pulse XE to Duet 3D. It will change the printer and make it a serious beast. This is an extremely reliable board and driver package. Rear mount [Left and Right] hole size increased to 4mm since only one bolt holds it on the printer. All of the Y axis mods are this way. You can use up to a 6mm bolt if you wish, just drill out the rear mounts and add T nuts that are threaded for that bolt size! I omitted the 3rd long carriage as I had technical problems with using three. Instead I recommend using one smaller carriage. Also the Rear mounts use T-nuts instead of nylocks. This keeps the nut from spinning in the mount like everyone else's kit does. Iluvatar_Bzh gave us that great idea. These models will fit a Prusa, but you will definitely require new firmware. What you need: 2x MGN12H Linear Rail Guides 345mm 3x MGN12H/C Linear Guide Block (2x long 1x short) M3 T-Nuts 2x 8mm M3 Screws 4x 18mm M3 Screws 2x 20mm M4 2X T-Nuts 8mm M4 Screws 2x 14mm Please leave me a “Like”, Thanks for downloading.
