Description

A great puzzle and the "print-in-place" process in all honor, but in this case it does not succeed very well. It has already been sufficiently reported here. Nothing broke in my case, but the lids move badly and there is no chance of closing the lids at all. To make this puzzle nevertheless practicable for me, I changed it. I disassembled it into two parts and provided the entire axis with a continuous Ø 2mm hole. Here I inserted a 75mm long piece of PLA filament (… a piece of wire would also do it). The bow tension must not be removed! It ensures that the filament cannot slip out. As I had plenty of 8x3mm magnets left over from another project, I also had to change positions of the magnets, recesses and font size. The strength of the magnets is a bit oversized and the lids now close so well that accidental opening is pretty much impossible -;) The magnets are only pressed in. At the moment they are sitting tight. If they come loose, I will fix them with super glue. The separation of the two lids also offers the advantage of the different color design of the lids ... but that was also mentioned somewhere else here.
