Description
This is an experimental propulsion powerplant that is intended to compress air for combustion in a boiler chamber and power the compressor with heat lost to the walls and internal piping. It is intended to be printed in 316L and titanium for the rotor to withstand the rpm required to get a compressor pressure ratio of around 3-4. I uses an open Rankine steam cycle to power the compression and the water pressurization pump, compressor wheel, and steam turbine are built into a single rotating component.
