Description
Now flight tested - see note on blade angle SG6042 profile blades. Intended assembly is 1 END part and 2 MID parts. Each part has 1 degree of wash-in (twist) for a total of 3 degrees across the blade. Intend to test higher twists - will update. You may need to scale the joiners for a snug fit into the spar box. A thin coating of CA/superglue is enough to hold them together. The outer perimeter of the blade should print in one continuous path followed by the inner spar box. If the spar box is printed first and then the leading/trailing edges are separate passes the strength/quality are likely compromised. Also consider slowing printing and upping flowrate (slightly) for a clean outer perimeter and fusion to the spar box. I have tested the 5 degree wedge with success but this may not be optimal - try the 4 or 6 degrees as alternative. Settings: Raft adhesion for the blades. Thick walls (1.6mm) and low infill (20% cubic) for the joiners. Solid print for the wedges (100% infill)
