Description

High Speed version of the RC3 Stack This is designed to be printed @0.25mm layers on a 0.4mm nozzle using only two perimiter shells and no infill or top/bottom solid layers. My print time was 2h 4m on a delta printer. Print instructions This version is a solid object and has to be printed with no top or bottom layers and no infill. The print settings basically hollow out the model and determine the wall thickness. Settings for 0.4mm nozzle Layer height 0.25mm Layer width 0.6mm Outline perimeter shells 2 Top solid Layers 0 Bottom solid layers 0 Infill 0 Brim .02mm gap 6 outlines No Supports are needed. Print speed is basically as fast as your printer will go. I also changed the extrusion multiplier to 1.10 to force better bonding between the layers and perimeter shells. For this kind of application it is essential to get a good bond between the perimeter shells. Model is designed to have minimum amount of acceleration and deceleration. This allows you to increase print speed over what you would normally use as there will be little shaking. Not sure what slicer people are using but in Simplify3D I used multiple processes to make the first two layers of every model print at slower speed. This is the same principle as would normally be used at the start of a print. Each shield is 20mm high and gap is 0.25mm. Second shield begins at 20.25mm 3rd at 40.50 and so on. You can stack two of these on top of each other by putting second copy at z 81.00mm Enjoy
