Description
I'm embarrassed to publish this remix, because it really is a “hack." But maybe it will help someone. I needed a cable organizer for an earphone that I use while backpacking. The wire/cable for my earphone is very thin. So thin that it was escaping from the original 'Organiser'. Since I was printing this in TPU, and since TPU is flexible, I closed the gap on the “ears” so that the cable can't escape as easily. (So now I have to flex my Organizer open to put the cable in. Then it flexes back to a more “closed” position, which holds the cable better.) I also moved the “grip” on the clamp a bit to better align with the end of the clamp. I did NOT use the author's “Use Flex” feature in the parameters. My printer prints TPU well and I did not need (nor want) extra thickness for the organizer. So I only tested this hack with that parameter “false.” There are a lot of “moving parts” in this parametric design and I hard-coded values numerical values that worked for me into the SCAD file. That is, I'm not smart enough to figure out what the actual parameters should be for any diameter cable. So I kind of “un-parametricized” this parametric design. As uploaded, it works for a 1.6 mm diameter cable, per the ‘make’ photo.
