EDIT 02-Sep-2025 : New revised motorized and furthermore engineered version published: https://www.printables.com/model/1398207-re-remodel-of-pastamatic-filament-spool-winder-for EDIT 20-Aug-2025: in a couple of days there will be a new revision most likely a new post of further changes resp. modifications: I will add a motor-version I will add some minor add-ons I will add another brake system, was not too happy with current version I will add a completely revised lead-screw system: Main leadscrew with gear and axle and leadscrew cam will be four parts: a) Leadscrew Gear with bayonet receiver; b) Axle (hex-shape) with bayonet plug. Clicked in into the Leadscrew Gear. c) Leadscrew Cam for different widths of spools. There will be versions of 32mm, 37mm, 40mm, 44mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 60mm, 62mm, 64mm. All are adjustable on the axle, tightened by a M3x6mm screw with nut. That means that you can adapt your Leadscrew Assembly to your spool. How wide the Cam drives depends on your XXmm selection (e.g. 55mm, 62mm, …) and aligned to the spool you can shift the Cam into “center-spool position”. d) A Hex-core roll will serve as bushing, running on the ball bearings. The main and important aspect of my design with the Pastamatic Winding Machine is the fact that you almost 100% can re-use the original machine. Maybe a drill hole here and a replacement part there. I still can completely re-assemble my machine the way it was originally posted from @GekoPrime. So guys, be excited when it comes to Printables. I am busy with testing and continuing to develop this machine. Don't expect 100% aligned spools, this depends on so many factors (speed, resistance when you brake, material, temperature, humidity of filament and last -not least of your printer's capabilities and the overall performance of my designs. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Based on the original https://www.printables.com/model/466883-pastamatic-filament-spool-winder-for-bambu-lab-x1c here my reworks: Wiper: The TPU pieces are cut in half for better printing, lateral supports also added, just cut off after print. Org. Wipers got worse after half of the print, as they moved back and forth. The wiper holders have been opened for the TPU wipers, now much smoother slide in and out. The part that goes to the crossbar was filled with material, much better hold. And two holes each side (you only need one) for a heat insert M3. Thus you can fasten the wiper holders where needed. Otherwise they moved back and forth. Loosing wiping function. I used M3x16mm, longer does not hurt. Spindle Clip: Reinforced and made a handle to it for easier clip on and off. I used PETG for the clip. After glueing the main lateral parts together, I also designed a hole into each lateral part (4 pieces) and the crossbar received also holes for countersunk screws (head ø6, threads 3.5mmx35mm). Modified the Pins (long and short) for a clips operation, better seat. <Now we have a slitted ball at the end for better seat. I printed in PETG. Maybe the one or the other might not need this, just find it out. When you check the parts, you may be able to find out, what else you need from the original post on Printables by @GekoPrime. I thank @GekoPrime a lot for this great model. Explore my other Printables: https://www.printables.com/de/@Tritschi
